BoyleSports launched a new football betting product called Squad Builder on August 20, 2026, letting customers combine two to five players' individual stats, spanning goals, assists, shots, tackles and cards, into one bet targeting a shared total rather than tying the wager to a single player's outcome. The feature follows a beta run during the 2026 World Cup and arrives just ahead of the 2026-27 domestic football season kickoff.
Adam Matues, BoyleSports' head of sportsbook, said Squad Builder "gives customers more freedom to shape the selection their own way, through single or multi-match squads." Bettors can pick players from one match or spread a squad across several fixtures, and combine any of seven player-stat markets toward the group target. The product ships alongside a "Sub Swap" feature that carries a selection over to a substitute if a chosen player is taken off, rather than voiding that leg of the bet.
The design choice is notable against the direction other parts of the sector are moving. The NCAA and several state regulators have spent 2026 tightening rules on single-player prop bets over match-fixing and harassment concerns, since a bet tied to one athlete's individual performance concentrates both integrity risk and, in college sports, pressure on unpaid players. Squad Builder spreads that exposure across two to five players at once, diluting how much any single athlete's performance decides the bet.
BoyleSports has kept its football sponsorship footprint despite West Ham United's relegation, retaining that shirt deal and adding a new arrangement with Leeds United, according to trade press coverage of the launch. The product itself sits alongside a wider wave of bet-construction tools operators have rolled out this year, from same-game parlays to dedicated bet-builder engines, all competing to keep bettors staking inside the operator's own product rather than a single straightforward market.
A parlay that avoids betting on one person
Squad Builder is a small product launch dressed as a football feature, but the mechanism matters more than the marketing. As leagues and regulators keep narrowing what a single-player prop can look like, an operator building its next product around a group of players rather than one is a design response to that pressure, not just a new way to parlay a Saturday fixture list.
