The Malta Gaming Authority suspended Condor Malta Limited's operating licence effective September 16, 2026, citing multiple regulatory compliance failures. The MGA announced the suspension on September 28.

Condor Malta held MGA licence MGA/B2C/340/2016. The suspension bars the operator from carrying out any new gaming operations, though it remains required to preserve player accounts and provide access to registered players for fund withdrawal and account visibility purposes.

The MGA imposed the sanction under multiple grounds of the Gaming Compliance and Enforcement Regulations, citing failures under regulations 9(1)(a), (c), (d), and (m). The specific compliance breaches were not detailed in the public announcement, per MGA practice of disclosing operational deficiencies separately to the licensee.

The suspension comes as Malta's gaming regulator has shifted toward tighter operational oversight of B2C operators following a series of enforcement actions and licence reviews. Condor was one of the smaller licensed operators in the Maltese market, not among the dominant names like Betsson, SoftSwiss platforms, or the major international operators.

The operator has the right to appeal the suspension under Article 43 of Malta's Gaming Act. The appeal window and MGA's decision timeline remain undisclosed, though Maltese regulatory appeals typically carry a 30-day notice period.

The suspension carries no immediate market impact beyond Condor's own customer base, estimated in the lower thousands based on prior market data. Larger operators will not face derivative license risk from this action.
