**Sportradar has sold Atrium Sports, the coaching and scouting platform within its Synergy Sports subsidiary, to Teamwork Innovations for $170m (£144m) in cash, marking a strategic pivot toward betting and gaming.**

The deal reflects Sportradar's narrowed focus on core sportstech and sports data for the betting sector. The transaction is priced at an accretive double-digit EBITDA multiple relative to Sportradar's market valuation, with completion expected in Q4 2026.

Sportradar acquired Atrium Sports in 2021 for an undisclosed sum as part of a diversification push beyond betting data into team analytics and video engagement. The platform had served professional sports teams in baseball and basketball with coaching and performance analytics. Synergy Sports, a leading analytics platform for those sports, will remain with Sportradar.

Chief Executive Officer Carsten Koerl said: "This transaction optimises and streamlines our business as we focus on our core betting, gaming, and media priorities, while enabling us to retain key technology assets and capabilities that will support growth and innovation. The proceeds will further strengthen our balance sheet and support capital allocation priorities."

Koerl has signalled the betting-first strategy both at SBC Summit Europe and in recent earnings calls, positioning the divestiture as part of a broader capital redeployment. Sportradar will retain certain Atrium assets that underpin its core sportstech and sports data products used by betting operators and media partners.

The sale follows Sportradar's volatile public markets journey since its September 2021 NASDAQ IPO. The company has since diversified partnerships with NBA, ATP, and other major sports properties, but investor pressure has favoured a return to core betting verticals.

Teamwork Innovations will operate Atrium as a standalone platform for team-side analytics, supported by what Koerl described as "an industry leader focused on serving teams and athletes." Sportradar said it would work with Teamworks to ensure continuity for clients, partners, and transferred employees.
