**Amy Howe has left her role as chief executive of FanDuel, and President Christian Genetski has assumed responsibility for leading the business, parent company Flutter Entertainment announced on May 6, 2026.** Howe had led the US market leader for five years.

In the [official announcement](https://flutter.com/news-media/press-releases/flutter-announces-leadership-transition-at-fanduel/?ref=igamingnews.biz), Flutter Group CEO Peter Jackson said: "I'm delighted that Christian will lead the business. He has a strong track record at FanDuel and deep market knowledge." Howe said it had been "a privilege to lead FanDuel over the past five years" and that this was "the right moment to hand over to new leadership."

The transition hands the top job to an internal successor who already ran the business as president. That continuity matters: FanDuel is the largest US online sportsbook by share, and a smooth handover protects momentum heading into the 2026 World Cup, the single largest betting event in US history.

Genetski takes over at a point where US growth has shifted from new-state expansion to share defence and casino cross-sell. His task is less about planting flags in new states and more about holding FanDuel's lead in a maturing market while regulators and rivals press on every front.
