**FanDuel and GeoComply renewed their identity verification and geolocation partnership on August 17, 2026, extending a relationship that has run for 13 years and now screens roughly 17 million FanDuel customers.** The new multi-year term did not come with a disclosed length, but GeoComply will place its own engineers directly inside FanDuel's teams under the deal, a level of integration beyond a standard vendor contract.

GeoComply says the partnership's checks now clear at a 99.7% pass rate with 99.999% service availability, processing billions of individual player checks across FanDuel's user base. The company's role has grown well past its original geolocation-only remit: the renewed deal covers know-your-customer verification, fraud detection, customer-eligibility checks, enhanced diligence, device intelligence and behavioral-signal analysis, the layers an operator needs to keep a regulated sportsbook both compliant and free of bad actors.

That expansion matters more than the renewal itself. [Geolocation compliance is the load-bearing rail under all of US sports betting](https://www.igamingnews.biz/geolocation-compliance-us-betting/), the infrastructure that proves a bet was placed inside a licensed state, and GeoComply built its market position on being the vendor most major operators default to for that single function. Layering fraud detection and identity verification onto the same signal pipeline turns a compliance cost center into a security platform, and it locks FanDuel into GeoComply's stack across more of the account lifecycle than a location check alone ever did.

Christian Genetski, FanDuel's president, said "GeoComply has been an important partner as we've built a platform our customers can trust." GeoComply CEO Kip Levin pointed to how far the technology has moved beyond its original scope: "What's been interesting is everything we've built together on top of those signals since: fraud and abuse detection."

The renewal lands during football season's acquisition push, when sportsbook traffic and new-account volume both peak and the cost of a fraud miss or a bad geolocation call is highest. It also comes as GeoComply's dominant market position has drawn its own scrutiny, from a lost patent case to new entrants trying to undercut it on price. [FanDuel](https://www.igamingnews.biz/fanduel-leadership-transition-howe-genetski/), the largest US sportsbook by market share, re-upping for a new multi-year term rather than shopping the contract is the clearest vote of confidence the incumbent has gotten this year.

## The biggest customer just bet the incumbent still wins

Every rival trying to dislodge GeoComply from a sportsbook's stack points to price or a narrower feature set. FanDuel's renewal says neither mattered enough to move the largest account in the market. A contract that has already run 13 years just got harder to unseat.
